This is the center piece of a triptych I created between one and four in the morning in Photoshop over two nights. The triptych as a whole is called "insomnia."
Introducing large amounts of my writing into my visual art was new for me with Nothing Slips the Moon Follower. I love writing and I'm excited to be adding mine to my visual art.
I think the tearstained look in the text here is really interesting and I'm surprised I could get it to look this way. It wasn't intentional, but my process led me that direction and after working with the text for a while, I realized it looked like tearstained paper.
I love so much about this piece, but my favorite elements are the stars at the bottom, the sweeping white rings, and the small blue discs around the piece.
Thanks for reading!
